On June 19, 2002 over 1,500 of Roger's closest friends and " hockey family" gathered at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, ON for "An Evening with Roger". On October 9, 2003, the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club began the 2003-04 NHL Season which was dedicated to Roger Neilson. This video montage was shown before the game on Opening Night and ended in a standing ovation in Roger's memory. The Ottawa Senators defeated the Montreal Canadians 5-2 in front of a sold-out crowd.
