Harold Longworth Public School in Bowmanville
Harold Longworth Public School in Bowmanville, Ontario, held their annual charity basketball game to raise money for Roger's House on April 4th, 2005. The teachers defeated the students for the third straight year. The school's principal, Nancy Pitt, was very pleased with the $1488.83 that the school raised. Fifth grade teacher, Dave Crawford (who worked for Roger for 12 years at his hockey camp, and continues to work there today as the 'off-ice director') organizes the annual event, and was very happy with the money raised. "The staff and students really came through this year. I was very impressed with the amount of money raised" said Mr. Crawford.
