Little League Major Provincial Championship
From July 24th, 2005 through to August 3rd, 2005, the Little League Major (age 11-12) Provincial Championship was hosted by Orleans Little League Baseball at Wilfred Murray diamond in Cumberland.
Seven of eight Ontario Districts attended the tournament, with over 110 coaches and players participating and over 50 volunteers making it happen. Baseball was of a very high caliber with 9 of the 13 games decided by 3 runs or less and 3 games going to extra innings. The Provincial Championship was won by the team from District 1, High Park (Toronto).
The Tournament had made a commitment from the start that if sufficient profits were achieved, $500 would be donated to Roger's House. We were happy to have achieved that profit level and to have been able to make this donation to such a worthy cause. Thanks to everyone for their generosity.
