Lumenera Corporation
Lumenera's President, Huw Leahy, put forth a challenge to all employees to raise money for Roger's House. If the team raised $4000.00, he would dye his hair "bleach blonde", he would have it done in the cafeteria for all to see! Being the social company that we are, the employees rose to the challenge and started donating. To sweeten the pot, Rob Sample, our Manager of Manufacturing, stated he too would dye his hair if we managed to raise $5000.00. Our employees exceeded the challenge by raising just over $5000.00, and we had a lunch hour event where both Huw and Rob had their hair bleached. It was a fun mini-event that we feel was extremely successful. Lumenera is just coming up to its 4th year anniversary on May 10th 2006, and we have grown from 4 to 60 people. We are very proud of our employees and the fact that they came together as a team for such a worthy cause.
